A to Z Challenge, Day 3: C Is For Cat
Of course, I have to feature my cat! I have three, but this is the baby. His name is Kolya and he’s a ham.
Nadya is the middle and the only girl cat; she’s sitting on my lap as I type this (but will be featured in a future post).
Boria is our bruiser, and he is our oldest boycat. He’s huge – not fat, but really, really muscular. He can jump from the floor six feet into the air from a sitting start. o.O…
Kolya’s favorite thing to do, when I’m working at my desk, is to stretch up on his hind paws and bat things off the surface of my desk.
We’ll see if he survives to the end of the Challenge… 🙂
What kind of pet person are you?
Hi Noony,
Love the A to Z Challenge 🙂
Koyla is so cute!!
Can you tell me your secret? How did you get 3 cats and a dog to live in one house without killing each other?
I have a pet and a ferret, and they are constantly fighting, creating chaos all over the house. I\’d bring in a dog, too, if I thought they could all get along.
And to answer your question.. I love cats, dogs, and even the ferret. Do I have to choose? LOL

I really enjoy reading about and seeing pictures of your precious pets. You know I have three cats, strays all when we took them in, but I adore most animals. I\’m lucky to see chickens and even donkeys in the surrounding neighborhood. Over the years I\’ve cared for family dogs, tropical fish, a mouse, and a snake before asthma medicines allowed cats to move into my home. Their self sufficiency was a real boon while I worked full time.
I have a dreadful cat allergy, but I like watching them They are so elegant. I\’m impressed that your cat can jump so high.

I love cats and dogs. But only hve 3 dogs and 2 fish.
He\’s sunbathing!
I grew up with dogs, but I like cats as well.
*fistbump!* I also did C for Cat. I always like hearing about what other people\’s kitties are up to 🙂
Hi, Grace! Our puppy was raised with cats, so she didn\’t have a problem with them. Boria, who is now our oldest, came to us as a tiny baby kitten and Coyote, our dog, thought he was her puppy. He nursed on her and she washed him, carried him around by the head, and let him eat her food. To this day, he thinks he\’s a dog. 🙂
Hey, Darla! Donkeys?? Wowsers. I\’m not sure I\’d want a donkey in my neighborhood; they\’re kind of loud. 🙂
I\’m so glad you are able to have cats now; I know how much you love them.
Hi, Nana! I\’m so sorry that you are allergic; cats are great fun to be around. I\’m glad you have cat videos and pictures to enjoy!
Hi, Glenda! Three dogs and two fish is a goodly number of pets! I don\’t know how I\’d manage with three dogs – do you walk them all at the same time?
Hi, Alex! Yup, he sunbathes smack in the middle of the floor of the office whenever we\’re working in here. He\’ll peek at us periodically to make sure we can see him. 😉
Hey, T! Good to see you! I\’m glad you\’re another C for Cat person. Let\’s hear it for the fuzz buckets! 🙂
Cute kitty!
Thanks, Heather!
