The blog has officially moved to the new platform. Unfortunately, every single post arrived wearing the same outfit: “Uncategorized.” WordPress, bless its little digital heart, has no idea where anything belongs.
Eighteen years of content. Nearly a thousand posts. (My blog can vote, y’all.)
So now I’m doing what I always do when a project feels too big to hold in my hands: I break it down and set a timer.
Twenty minutes at a time. A few sessions a week. Slow, steady progress.
Here’s the plan:
- First pass — Categorize using Quick Edit. No reading, no editing, no nostalgia spirals. Just drop each post into one of the six buckets.
- Second pass — SEO optimization. This one will take longer, but it’s mechanical work once everything is sorted.
- Third pass — Tagging strategy. Decide what tags I actually want to use, then apply them consistently.
It’s not glamorous, but it’s grounding. Chop wood, carry water. Work, life, studio — one small piece at a time.
And now? My twenty minutes are done, my categories are a little tidier than they were this morning, and Loki has declared it officially time for a couch nap. I’m taking the hint.
