Tue Cent Twosday – Empowerment — No Comments

  1. You have so many gifts, it\’s amazing. As for that awful day, I sat alone in an office and the neighboring business owner came in to tell me the news. The travesty having just begun, we turned on my office TV and watched the whole thing. The rest of the day is a blur punctuated by the sonic boom of jets traveling overhead and stunned conversations with loved ones. Thank you for sharing your story.

  2. Thank you, Darla! I, too, watched the events on television for the rest of the day. By the time the BBC came on, I\’d watched 7 hours of American television – and learned more in that one BBC program than I had the whole rest of the day.

Wednesday morning, the NIMH (National Institutes of Mental Health) came on national news media and described the symptoms of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). That was the first time I realized that I suffer from PTSD from childhood trauma. So in a way, that day helped me get the help I needed (not to be narcissistic, but to point out that large events have personal consequences).

Thank you for stopping by my blog. You, too, have many skills, among them a gift for poetry and eloquence. I hope you never stop writing. ~hugs~

  3. Happy birthday, Selena. I\’m glad that my post moved you; you deserve it. You are unique. In all the world, you are special and individual and necessary. I\’m glad you\’re my friend.
