A to Z Challenge, Day 2: B Is For Blogging!
Of COURSE B is for Blogging! After all, it’s the A-Z Challenge, right?
I think blogging is one of the most awesome things to come out of the social media explosion. Yes, Facebook is popular. Instagram is everywhere. Tweet is now a word for something you do on the internet. But blogging is a game-changer.
Why?
Writers have always wanted to write and many of them want to share what they write. Blogs allow us to do that in a self-driven way that sets us free from having to conform to, well, anybody’s rules. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time as a blogger for the last six years and plan to continue for many more.
Blogging may go in and out of fashion, (last year, it was “blogging is dead, move to Facebook,” this year it’s “blogs are coming back because readers want actual content,”), but regardless of that, I will keep going in my little corner of the Blogosphere. That’s not to say I’ll ignore the others, just that I think blogging is fun, easy, and here to stay.
What about you?
Enjoy the April blogging challenge, and let me know if you’re participating so I can visit you too!
I have made some awesome new friends via my blog and theirs. I think that\’s pretty cool.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by! I love your internet handle, Multi-tasking Mama! That\’s awesome.
I just blog for fun. I thought everyone was off to Twitter. I was a little worried when they said blogging was on the way out so I\’m glad if they\’re now saying blogging is in again. Definitely more content this way and you can discover so many new ideas from reading them.
What I love about blogging is that I can put up huge posts on etymology and people keep coming back.
Hi, DayDreamer! I heard that everyone fled to Twitter too, but let\’s face it: I\’m a novelist. If I could be succinct, I\’d be a short story writer. ~grin~
Hi, J E! I know what you mean. Keep on posting on etymology. It\’s a fun subject!
Hey there it\’s me, Shelina from A Writer Inspired! I love to see what other people are doing and learning from them how to improve my own blog. I have two blogs: one for family and friends and one for all my writing stuff. I\’ve tried to put all my energy into one or the other but I learn so much from both that I can\’t bear to choose between them.
Hi, Shelina! Thanks for visiting. I have several blogs myself, and love blogging. This one is my \”home\” blog where I talk about pretty much anything I like – writing, cats, writing, coffee, writing, friends, writing… 🙂 My other blogs are more topic-specific: I have a craft blog and a couple blogs with my coauthor, one for general discussion and one for stories; and group blogs with several friends.
Blogging is more fun than FB or Twitter or LinkedIn because it lets me determine how much or how little I want to say at any given time. 🙂
Thanks for visiting, and have a lovely day!
