Amur Leopard – For A! — 9 Comments

  1. Bengal cats don\’t retract their claws all the way. My Jasmine was always getting her feet stuck to the carpet at our last apartment. I love leopards! Thanks for the photos!

    • Oh, wow! I didn\’t know that about Bengal cats, Felicia. What an embarrassing experience for your cat! 🙂 Makes me smile thinking of it, though. Poor thing. 😛

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment!

  2. You know, it\’s funny… these days I don\’t much care for zoos, since it just doesn\’t seem right to have these wild animals cooped up in cages. But I do have lots of fond memories of Brookfield Zoo from my childhood. And I\’ve never even been to Chicago\’s other zoo! (But their theme song is still stuck in my head, decades later, so their marketing was obviously effective…)

    • I\’ve heard that from other folks, too. What I like is that zoos now, and Brookfield does this, are part of international species survival plans. They\’ve also done a lot of work on upgrading the habitats so the animals are happy. That makes me feel a lot better about things. 🙂

Thank you for taking a moment to stop by and comment. Happy blogging!

    • Thank you! He\’s one of my favorites. I was slow to warm up to him, because he\’s not very responsive; but this last time, he even made eye contact with me for an instant and it gave me chills. He\’s amazing.

Huge head though; I can only imagine how powerful those jaws are.
