Too Foxy! — 14 Comments

    • Hi, Piper! Those lovely little guys are at the Brookfield Zoo here in Chicago (well, the town of Brookfield, just outside Chicago). They have a large enclosure with lots of areas for them to play, but they also have a little nest where they can get cozy and sleep. There\’s a thick lucite window through which one can take photographs, but you have to hunker down and sort of perch on the concrete boulders that are next to it. (Pro-tip – don\’t use a flash.) I was fortunate enough to find them napping together on both visits.

I confess, I\’m enamored of their ears. 🙂

Thanks for visiting, and happy blogging!

  1. Adorable! And while geese are fine, I vote for giraffes, who are so incredibly cool. ~grin~ Happy blogging, my dear!

  2. I love those huge ears, too, and wonder how many channels they can pick up. Giraffes are so cool, but I like geese, too. Hell, I like all animals, just some more than others. Is there a certain time period for this challenge, or is it ongoing?

    • Ha! Channels. I have this image of a little creature trying to watch Animal Planet. 🙂

I like animals as well, and the geese are certainly photogenic.

The Challenge is every year in April; if you click the badge on the top right of this page it\’ll take you to the main challenge page. While signups are closed for this year, you could certainly write on your blog and let folks know (like me, say); you can also visit the other folks in the challenge. 🙂

      • Sounds like a good idea just blogging about it. It will give me something to keep my atmyhouse.net blog going. Haven\’t done anything with it in a while. Also have to see if I will get out and about enough to even do this challenge. Sooo much writing to do!

        • Oh, you don\’t have to go anywhere for the challenge, that\’s just what I decided to do for this year. You could do any theme you wanted. The only stipulation is that it\’s A on Day 1, B on Day 2, etc; every day in April except Sundays (so 26 days, 26 letters). You could do the A to Z of home, why you write, using the internet, cool things you\’ve found, hell, even just open your dictionary and randomly pick words in each letter. Anything you want. 🙂

  3. Hi, Those little foxes are adorable. I also wanted to thank you for letting me know about the a to z challenge. You wrote about it in ChiWriMo.
I\’m learning so many new things–about foxes, about blogging…I wonder what\’s next.
